For low-speed EVs (under 250W, max 25 km/h), no driving licence or registration is required under Central Motor Vehicles Rules. Always check West Bengal RTO rules as well.
A full charge costs Rs.12–20 depending on your electricity tariff. That gives you 60–80 km of range. Your daily running cost is essentially zero compared to petrol.
A refundable security deposit of Rs.5,000 is collected at the time of delivery for monthly plans. This is fully refunded when you return the bike in normal condition. Daily rentals have no deposit.
This is a rental pre-order. You are not buying anything and not paying anything right now. You are just reserving your spot in our launch queue. Payment only starts when we deliver your bike in January 2027.
Yes. zumm is built for riders 16 and above. For our low-speed EV category there is no minimum age restriction beyond this. We will send a simple digital parental consent form for your guardian to e-sign.
We are launching exclusively in Kolkata in January 2027, covering Park Street, Salt Lake, New Town, Jadavpur, Howrah, Ultadanga and surrounding areas. Your pre-order pincode helps us prioritise which areas we cover first.
